Bidders use the Price Breakdown page
to assign values to a list of items that have been previously defined in the package. Bidders enter their cost information in one or more of the following fields:
- Description
- Bid Unit Price (When the Type field for the line item is set to Unit Price).
- Bid Price (when the Type field for the line item is set to Lump Sum).
- Bid Notes
The following section describes each of the fields:
- Description: Type any additional considerations for the line item.
- Bid Currency: Read-only. Displays the currency in which the proposal items are priced.
The following columns appear for each line item. At the bottom left of the Price Breakdown grid, the Bid Total area displays the sum of all values in the Bid Price column.
- Line No: Read-only. A number that identifies the line item.
- Material or Work Description: Read-only. A description of the line item.
- Type: Read-only. Either Lump Sum or Unit Price. When Unit Price is selected, the , Unit Price column becomes active and is a required field.
- Qty: Read-only. The number of units for the proposal item.
This field is available only when the Type column is set to Unit Price.
- UOM: Read-only. The units of measure (UOM) the line item.
This field is available only when the Type column is set to Unit Price.
- Bid Unit Price: Enter the value of each unit when the Type column is set to Unit Price. Otherwise, this field is not used.
- Bid Price: Displays the total value of the line item. When Unit Price is selected in the Type column, this field is read-only and displays the total of units multiplied by unit price.
When Lump Sum is selected in the Type column, bidders enter the sum of the line item directly.
- Unit Code: Read-only. A unit code for the line item.
This field is available only when the Type column is set to Unit Price
- Notes: Read-only. Displays additional details entered by the bid coordinator about the line item.
- Bid Notes: Enter more details about the line item.
